QUESTIONS

When you apply for a job, questions always come up. Here are answers to the most important ones.

General

How do I apply?

Under each job vacancy you will find an “Apply now” button that you can use to submit your application documents. If there is no suitable job advertised, you’re also very welcome to send us your unsolicited application.

Can I also apply by post or email?

Applications can only be submitted via our online application portal. We’re sorry, but we cannot accept applications by post or email.

Can I apply for several positions at the same time?

If you are interested in other positions, you’re welcome to mention them in your cover letter.

Do you accept unsolicited applications?

Of course. If none of the advertised positions are suitable for you, we look forward to receiving your unsolicited application. Submit your application documents here.

What should I bear in mind when preparing my application documents?

Please make sure you submit a complete set of documents. In addition to a cover letter, CV, recent (work) references and your salary requirements, you should also let us know your earliest possible start date. Apprenticeship programmes always start on 1 September.

Further questions

How do I know if my application has been received?

When you submit an application you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt by email. If you don’t receive an email, please also check your spam folder.

How long does the application process take?

We process all applications as quickly as possible. There may occasionally be delays if we receive a high volume of applications. We will inform you of any application status updates straight away.

I’ve been invited to an interview. How do I find the way to Wevo?

You will receive an invitation to an interview by email. Attached to the email you will find directions for travelling to Wevo by car or public transport.

Who will be conducting my interview?

As a rule, a member of the HR team and a senior member of staff from the relevant department are present at the interview. You can find the names of the people conducting your interview in the invitation mail.

Are the interviews conducted in person, or by telephone/online?

That depends on the position you are being interviewed for and the travelling distance, but you will always have the opportunity to meet us in person before signing an employment contract.

Are my personal data treated confidentially?

Yes. We protect your data in accordance with the legal requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and they are erased if no employment contract is entered into.

What entry opportunities are there?

We offer various apprenticeships, internships, a combined degree and apprenticeship programme and Bachelor or Master thesis supervision opportunities.

What are the working hours at Wevo?

Our full-time employees work 40 hours per week. Administrative, sales and development personnel work flexitime hours with defined core working hours. In the areas of production, logistics and quality assurance, we work in two shifts (early and late shifts) that alternate on a weekly basis. Our employees have a flexitime account and any overtime is promptly compensated.

Experienced professionals and career starters

What can I expect in my interview?

We want to get to know the authentic you in the interview. It also gives us both the chance to find out whether you are a good fit for our company and the position. We’ll do this by talking about your previous professional experience, about Wevo and your potential job with us. You’re also welcome to ask us any questions you may have. Our aim is to get to know each other well enough to be able to make a decision about the job to be filled.

What can I expect on my first day at work?

We believe it’s important that you feel comfortable right from the outset. On your first day at work you’ll be introduced to your team. In addition to general information, you will be given a safety briefing and your induction plan and the chance to settle into your workplace.

We’ll assign a mentor to provide you with intensive support and act as your sounding board, especially in the first few days.

What is the work-life balance like at Wevo?

Work-life balance is very important to us. It’s the reason why our employees are able to use their flexitime accounts for prompt compensation of overtime.

How secure is my job at Wevo?

We are an expanding, forward-looking family-owned company and, as such, we are in a position to offer you long-term career prospects and job security.

Are there opportunities for further training at Wevo?

We offer our employees a range of training opportunities for their individual development on a needs-oriented basis.

High school and college students

How do I prepare for my interview?

We want to get to know the authentic you. It’s always a good idea to read up on the job or position you are applying for and about Wevo. Show us why you would like to be an apprentice in the occupation you have chosen.

Is there a selection procedure for apprenticeships?

We don’t have any tests or so-called selection days for apprentices. We usually conduct two interviews with them, each with different interview partners.

Will I be offered a job after my apprenticeship?

Our aim is to train competent employees for our company. We’ll be happy to take you on if your work and academic performance during the apprenticeship are good and we have a suitable position to offer you.

Can I shorten my apprenticeship?

Yes. If your work and academic performance are good, the regular apprenticeship period can be shortened.

Do you offer internships for high school and college students?

We offer internships in almost all of our departments and look forward to receiving your unsolicited application.
